We have time-tested media like bronze and stone. We also have artists who are pushing the boundaries with installations\, sculptural textiles\, assemblage\, and more. This exhibition features 31 artists with almost 50 pieces of work. 3D: Beyond the Boundaries will bring you joy\, make you feel\, and push you to think outside the box. \nIn conjunction with the exhibition in CAE’s main gallery\, we are pleased to welcome our first mini-exhibition by one of CAE’s first resident studio artists\, Tricia Rosenthal. Rosenthal’s exhibition\, 3D to 2D: Evergreen Sculpture Portraits\, presents a series of 15 original oil paintings that bring 15 beloved Evergreen sculptures to the canvas. Inspired by her time as president of Sculpture Evergreen\, Tricia is the perfect artist to create portraits of the public art in Evergreen. Rosenthal’s mini-exhibition hangs in conjunction with 3D: Beyond the Boundaries in the newly rededicated Michael McGoldrick Executive Classroom.

DESCRIPTION:Level: ALLInstructor: Janet Schaus\nJune 20\n6 -8 pm\n$75 per student (this includes all supplies and 2 drinks) \nBurrata & Mozzarella Making Class\nREGISTER FOR WORKSHOP \nJoin us for this hands-on cheesemaking class.  You will learn how to make mozzarella and its delicious cousin\, burrata.  Two professional cheese mongers will share their years of expertise and experience in a fun\, interactive setting.  You will learn basic cheesemaking knowledge\, as well as a brief history of this cheese and how to make it from fresh milk in the centuries-old\, traditional Italian way.  You will have an opportunity to taste the whey\, curd\, and finished cheese used in the demonstration.  Each participant will hand-stretch a ball of mozzarella and a burrata to take home. We will share recipes and the knowledge to make these amazing cheeses in your own kitchen.  Learn the proper way to make these milky fresh cheeses that we all love. \nWhat’s included: \n\nAll supplies provided.\nInstruction by 2 professional cheese mongers\nRecipes for mozzarella\, burrata\, and ricotta\n1 lb. of fresh cheese\n2 glasses of wine or beer\n\nDetails: \n\nWear apron or clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty!\nWe provide set-up and clean-up.

They blend musical elements from singer/songwriter to classical music\, funk\, and electronica. The band consists of Chris Carter (lead singer/guitarist)\, Elvin Holderfield (keyboards)\, Rob Wiberg (bass) and Dominic Fante on drums. They place emphasis on having meaningful\, relatable lyrics over positive and energetic instrumentation. \nFormed in the fall of 2016\, they have since performed over 800 gigs – including appearances at prestigious venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Aggie Theatre. They have performed in many festivals throughout Colorado\, and in 2019\, toured several countries in Europe. Their releases include two EPs\, “Live Again” and “Have a Christmas”\, a collaborative meditation album called “Meditations for Mindfulness\, and over 10 singles – totaling over 100\,000+ streams. It’s the event that you definitely don’t want to miss! It’s going to be big. We mean REALLY big. Grand Opening Celebration big! Saturday\, June 22 will be a day of celebration\, creativity\, and community. Get ready to immerse yourself in the abundance of new artistic opportunities available thanks to our doubling in space. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply eager to explore your creative side\, we’ll have something for everyone to enjoy – from painting and sculpting to glasswork and printmaking – and plenty of kid-friendly crafts and face painting to boot. We’ll host live demonstrations and hands-on activities\, all conducted by our incredible staff of teaching artists. There will also be a full lineup of musical and theatrical presentations for your entertainment\, including excerpts from the Venue Theatre’s Willy Wonka and Stage Door Theater’s current production\, and performances by Ovation West’s chamber choir and Evergreen favorites John Erlandson and Gene Morris. \nAnd if we must remind you\, we have gotten pretty good at throwing parties! That means we will have a delicious food truck on site\, plus wine and beer available for a donation. And\, if you time it right\, we are giving away free cupcakes to the first 200 people starting at 12:15 pm! You will create your own painting on 11×14″ mixed media paper using acrylic paint and paper cutouts. Jessica Mahan will lead you through a step-by-step painting demonstration on pattern and collage techniques. \nREGISTER \nCome in for a girl’s night\, date night\, team building\, or just to find your creativity through art! New projects every month are led by a talented artist instructor. No experience is necessary\, and we provide all art supplies and beverages. He sings about skiing\, trail running and other outdoor recreation\, finding that most people who live here instantly relate to the music. \n“I get 90% of my inspiration from nature\,” Morris said about his overall life — not just his songwriting. \nGrowing up in Idaho Springs\, he began playing guitar at age 10\, then graduated from the University of Colorado in 2007 with a degree in music business. Since then\, he has been a touring musician\, promoter\, teacher and athlete — all of which have taken him worldwide\, teaching camps and workshops. When he’s not playing shows or skiing big mountains\, he works as a music promoter and talent buyer for festivals and events. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly Creativity\, Coffee & Conversation for mountain area seniors! Each month we offer the opportunity for artists\, writers\, and arts appreciators (aged 60 and better) to gather and find connection through art. The first portion of the afternoon is a tour with the curator\, where you will learn about the current exhibit; stories behind pieces in the show\, what it takes to find artists\, and how an exhibition comes together. Then we enjoy coffee and cookies as we come together to create. We have multiple stations: one with an art project led by an artists or art teacher\, one for writing\, and one for simply chatting—the art of conversation. CCC is an opportunity to come together\, make new friends\, and learn something new.
