We have time-tested media like bronze and stone. We also have artists who are pushing the boundaries with installations\, sculptural textiles\, assemblage\, and more. This exhibition features 31 artists with almost 50 pieces of work. 3D: Beyond the Boundaries will bring you joy\, make you feel\, and push you to think outside the box. \nIn conjunction with the exhibition in CAE’s main gallery\, we are pleased to welcome our first mini-exhibition by one of CAE’s first resident studio artists\, Tricia Rosenthal. Rosenthal’s exhibition\, 3D to 2D: Evergreen Sculpture Portraits\, presents a series of 15 original oil paintings that bring 15 beloved Evergreen sculptures to the canvas. Inspired by her time as president of Sculpture Evergreen\, Tricia is the perfect artist to create portraits of the public art in Evergreen. Rosenthal’s mini-exhibition hangs in conjunction with 3D: Beyond the Boundaries in the newly rededicated Michael McGoldrick Executive Classroom.

Visit www.evergreencreativedistrict.org \nFollowing Colorado Creative Industries “Call Yourself Creative” guidelines toward state \ncertification\, we have accomplished a lot this past year: \n• ECD has transitioned from an interim Board to a 501 C3 non-profit with an operational Board \nrepresenting a cross section of leaders from the arts\, cultural and business community. \n• We researched and published in the Jeffco Historical Journal\, a 150-year History of the Arts in \nEvergreen which in turn supports our branding Evergreen as a “Haven for Creatives” through \nlocal\, regional\, and state media as part of ECD’s tourism outreach efforts. \n• We commissioned a local artist to design and create our amazing Forever Stamp Logo that \ndrives our messaging\, “Creativity Lives Here” \n• ECD has been recognized by the leadership of the 30 other Certified Creative Districts in \nColorado and have been invited to be actively involved in efforts to further promote \nEvergreen’s creative industry throughout the state. \n• Our ECD website and Creative Calendar was launched this fall and continues to develop as \nwe modify its format and content based on feedback from the creative community. \n• Major articles published in Mountain Connection and Serenity Magazines announced and \nspread our message to area residents and businesses. \n• Public\, Private and Governmental entities throughout Colorado now support the fact that our \nareas largest industry is the Evergreen Creative Industry. \n• We have been recognized and applauded for our efforts by the leadership of Colorado \nCreative Industries (CCI)\, Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA)\, Jeffco County \nCommissioners\, State and Federal legislators\, the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce and \nother local business leaders. \n• We have brought together the leadership of Evergreens Arts organizations\, area Performing \nArts organizations\, and established a Live Music Task Force to develop collaborative \nprograming and work together to help sustain and promote events and other projects. \n• Responding to requests from neighboring communities\, ECD expanded its reach as a Cultural \nHub\, bringing together arts/cultural entities and creatives in the greater Evergreen area. \n• ECD is working with various Evergreen area nonprofits to help them qualify for regional\, state\, \nand federal grants that they would otherwise not qualify for. \n• We have begun working with Jeffco planning and zoning to impact future developments that \nsupport workforce housing and other initiatives that support our creative industry. \n• The ECD board has developed a long-range strategic plan that will help ensure that the quality \nof life we enjoy and have come to expect in the greater Evergreen Area continues for future \ngenerations. \nWhat’s ahead as we move into 2024: \n• ECD continues along the path towards CCI’s Creative District State Certification\, sustaining \nthe successful accomplishments of 2023\, and building upon them. \n• Major articles promoting the Evergreen Creative District are scheduled to appear in leading \nLifestyle publications. \n• An ECD Grantsmanship Task Force has planned a workshop on January 29th to help area \nnonprofits craft their grant applications. SUMMARY:CAE Creativity\, Coffee\, & Conversations for Seniors
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly Creativity\, Coffee & Conversation for mountain area seniors! Each month we offer the opportunity for artists\, writers\, and arts appreciators (aged 60 and better) to gather and find connection through art. The first portion of the afternoon is a tour with the curator\, where you will learn about the current exhibit; stories behind pieces in the show\, what it takes to find artists\, and how an exhibition comes together. Then we enjoy coffee and cookies as we come together to create. We have multiple stations: one with an art project led by an artists or art teacher\, one for writing\, and one for simply chatting—the art of conversation. CCC is an opportunity to come together\, make new friends\, and learn something new. We are all at different stages of aging and we all handle it a little differently\, but what we do know is that social interaction and community engagement keep us all a little healthier. New projects every month are led by a talented artist instructor. No experience is necessary\, and we provide all art supplies and beverages. Just show up\, be creative\, and have fun! \nCome learn about the life and art of artist Gustav Klimt. You will create your own painting of the tree of life using colors of your choice\, boutique gold foil and acrylic paint on 11×14″ canvas. DESCRIPTION:12 x 12 x 12 \nAn all-call exhibition featuring small works for every budget. \nMarch 28 – April 27\, 2024 \nSmall Works Bring Big Art Energy to Center for the Arts Evergreen \nJust as great oaks can grow from small acorns\, so too can great art collections begin with small works. That’s the thought behind Center for the Arts Evergreen’s new exhibition\, 12 x 12 x 12: Small Works\, a sizeable collection of scaled-down 2D and 3D works from 90 different artists\, hailing from nearby mountain towns to as far off as Idaho\, Montana and Alaska. From the standbys of oil\, watercolor and bronze\, to contemporary constructions of encaustic wax\, mosaic\, and assemblage\, there is something for every taste and\, importantly\, budget to be discovered. \nJoin us for the free public opening reception for 12 x 12 x 12 on Thursday\, March 28 from 4 to 7 pm. Many of the artists will be on hand to discuss their processes and inspirations\, and several will be presented with exhibition awards beginning at 6 pm. Happy hour refreshments will be available along with an assortment of light bites. Center for the Arts Evergreen is located at 31880 Rocky Village Drive\, just a few minutes off I-70 at Evergreen Pkwy. 12 x 12 x 12 is generously supported by the Colorado Gives Foundation and SCFD and runs from March 28 through April 27.
