This exhibition features 31 artists with almost 50 pieces of work. 3D: Beyond the Boundaries will bring you joy\, make you feel\, and push you to think outside the box. \nIn conjunction with the exhibition in CAE’s main gallery\, we are pleased to welcome our first mini-exhibition by one of CAE’s first resident studio artists\, Tricia Rosenthal. Rosenthal’s exhibition\, 3D to 2D: Evergreen Sculpture Portraits\, presents a series of 15 original oil paintings that bring 15 beloved Evergreen sculptures to the canvas. Inspired by her time as president of Sculpture Evergreen\, Tricia is the perfect artist to create portraits of the public art in Evergreen. Rosenthal’s mini-exhibition hangs in conjunction with 3D: Beyond the Boundaries in the newly rededicated Michael McGoldrick Executive Classroom.

It’s the event that you definitely don’t want to miss! It’s going to be big. We mean REALLY big. Grand Opening Celebration big! Saturday\, June 22 will be a day of celebration\, creativity\, and community. Get ready to immerse yourself in the abundance of new artistic opportunities available thanks to our doubling in space. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply eager to explore your creative side\, we’ll have something for everyone to enjoy – from painting and sculpting to glasswork and printmaking – and plenty of kid-friendly crafts and face painting to boot. We’ll host live demonstrations and hands-on activities\, all conducted by our incredible staff of teaching artists. There will also be a full lineup of musical and theatrical presentations for your entertainment\, including excerpts from the Venue Theatre’s Willy Wonka and Stage Door Theater’s current production\, and performances by Ovation West’s chamber choir and Evergreen favorites John Erlandson and Gene Morris. \nAnd if we must remind you\, we have gotten pretty good at throwing parties! That means we will have a delicious food truck on site\, plus wine and beer available for a donation. And\, if you time it right\, we are giving away free cupcakes to the first 200 people starting at 12:15 pm! It’s all part of how we’re honoring our Arts Person of the Year for 2024\, Alexa Cowley\, along with a very special toast beginning at noon. \nSo\, mark your calendars for June 22 from 10 am – 3 pm for our long-awaited Grand Opening of CAE’s Phase II. They blend musical elements from singer/songwriter to classical music\, funk\, and electronica. The band consists of Chris Carter (lead singer/guitarist)\, Elvin Holderfield (keyboards)\, Rob Wiberg (bass) and Dominic Fante on drums. They place emphasis on having meaningful\, relatable lyrics over positive and energetic instrumentation. \nFormed in the fall of 2016\, they have since performed over 800 gigs – including appearances at prestigious venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Aggie Theatre. They have performed in many festivals throughout Colorado\, and in 2019\, toured several countries in Europe. This exhibition features 31 artists with almost 50 pieces of work. 3D: Beyond the Boundaries will bring you joy\, make you feel\, and push you to think outside the box. \nIn conjunction with the exhibition in CAE’s main gallery\, we are pleased to welcome our first mini-exhibition by one of CAE’s first resident studio artists\, Tricia Rosenthal. Rosenthal’s exhibition\, 3D to 2D: Evergreen Sculpture Portraits\, presents a series of 15 original oil paintings that bring 15 beloved Evergreen sculptures to the canvas. Inspired by her time as president of Sculpture Evergreen\, Tricia is the perfect artist to create portraits of the public art in Evergreen. Rosenthal’s mini-exhibition hangs in conjunction with 3D: Beyond the Boundaries in the newly rededicated Michael McGoldrick Executive Classroom.

SUMMARY:CAE Creativity\, Coffee\, & Conversations for Seniors
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly Creativity\, Coffee & Conversation for mountain area seniors! Each month we offer the opportunity for artists\, writers\, and arts appreciators (aged 60 and better) to gather and find connection through art. The first portion of the afternoon is a tour with the curator\, where you will learn about the current exhibit; stories behind pieces in the show\, what it takes to find artists\, and how an exhibition comes together. Then we enjoy coffee and cookies as we come together to create. We have multiple stations: one with an art project led by an artists or art teacher\, one for writing\, and one for simply chatting—the art of conversation. CCC is an opportunity to come together\, make new friends\, and learn something new. We are all at different stages of aging and we all handle it a little differently\, but what we do know is that social interaction and community engagement keep us all a little healthier. This program typically takes place on the second Friday of every month\, but all dates are listed below for reference.
