The Evergreen Creative District (ECD) thanks you for helping support and promote all the
Arts/Cultural programs and events Evergreen’s Creative Industry brings to our community.

Following Colorado Creative Industries “Call Yourself Creative” guidelines toward state

certification, we have accomplished a lot this past year:

• ECD has transitioned from an interim Board to a 501 C3 non-profit with an operational Board

representing a cross section of leaders from the arts, cultural and business community.

• We researched and published in the Jeffco Historical Journal, a 150-year History of the Arts in

Evergreen which in turn supports our branding Evergreen as a “Haven for Creatives” through

local, regional, and state media as part of ECD’s tourism outreach efforts.

• We commissioned a local artist to design and create our amazing Forever Stamp Logo that

drives our messaging, “Creativity Lives Here”

• ECD has been recognized by the leadership of the 30 other Certified Creative Districts in

Colorado and have been invited to be actively involved in efforts to further promote

Evergreen’s creative industry throughout the state.

• Our ECD website and Creative Calendar was launched this fall and continues to develop as

we modify its format and content based on feedback from the creative community.

• Major articles published in Mountain Connection and Serenity Magazines announced and

spread our message to area residents and businesses.

• Public, Private and Governmental entities throughout Colorado now support the fact that our

areas largest industry is the Evergreen Creative Industry.

• We have been recognized and applauded for our efforts by the leadership of Colorado

Creative Industries (CCI), Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA), Jeffco County

Commissioners, State and Federal legislators, the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce and

other local business leaders.

• We have brought together the leadership of Evergreens Arts organizations, area Performing

Arts organizations, and established a Live Music Task Force to develop collaborative

programing and work together to help sustain and promote events and other projects.

• Responding to requests from neighboring communities, ECD expanded its reach as a Cultural

Hub, bringing together arts/cultural entities and creatives in the greater Evergreen area.

• ECD is working with various Evergreen area nonprofits to help them qualify for regional, state,

and federal grants that they would otherwise not qualify for.

• We have begun working with Jeffco planning and zoning to impact future developments that

support workforce housing and other initiatives that support our creative industry.

• The ECD board has developed a long-range strategic plan that will help ensure that the quality

of life we enjoy and have come to expect in the greater Evergreen Area continues for future

generations.

What’s ahead as we move into 2024:

• ECD continues along the path towards CCI’s Creative District State Certification, sustaining

the successful accomplishments of 2023, and building upon them.

• Major articles promoting the Evergreen Creative District are scheduled to appear in leading

Lifestyle publications.

• An ECD Grantsmanship Task Force has planned a workshop on January 29th to help area

nonprofits craft their grant applications. (contact us to learn more)

• The ECD Live Music Task Force is planning a series of workshops designed to bring together,

support and promote live music in the greater Evergreen area. (contact us to learn more)

• The ECD Performing Arts Task Force is sponsoring and helping to develop grant applications

for funds needed to make significant/necessary repairs and renovations to Ovation West

Center Stage Theater.

• The ECD Rising Stars Task Force is playing a major role in the development and sustainability

of Evergreen’s Got Talent/Conifer’s Got Talent programs. (contact us to learn more)

• In May, the ECD will be participating in the 2024 CCI Summit
